Katia has vast experience in the Aviation sector focused on advising on the regulatory framework, the set-up of new owning and operating structures and mergers, acquisitions and privatisation transactions. Katia has drafted and negotiated numerous agreements for the sale, finance and lease, either operative or financial, of individual aircraft and fleets. The foundations of her extensive employment practice are advice on the regulatory and legislative frameworks, fringe benefits including stock option structures, and collective labour agreements. Prior to joining the Firm, Katia was in-house counsel to Olympic Airways. Recently, Katia has advised a private equity fund on employment issues relating to the hiring of new staff in local subsidiaries and branches and a leading energy storage and solutions company in relation to employment law issues arising from a transfer of undertaking. She also advised a private equity fund on employment issues related to the acquisition of three private hospitals. Katia has provided employment law advice to numerous multinational companies on an ongoing basis, in particular in the context of restructurings and their effect on employee status.
