Karin Fløistad specialises in public financing of services and her doctoral thesis from the European University Institute includes a comprehensive EU/EEA analysis of recent practices with regard to free movement and state aid issues in this field. She recently published the book ”EEA Agreements in a Revised EU Framework for Welfare Services”.
Karin is chair of the independent Norwegian Tribunal for Competition Cases established as of 1. April 2017. She is the Norwegian judge in the Association of European Competition Law judges (AECLJ).
She has previously been engaged as a lawyer at the Office of the Attorney General for Civil Affairs with a right to plead cases in the Norwegian Supreme Court, and has experience from the Ministry of Justice’s Department of Legal Affairs.
