Partner. He has extensive experience in restructurings, mergers and corporate acquisitions of family businesses and multinational groups. He is an expert of recognized standing in analyzing and solving the financial and tax problems related to corporate and shareholding restructurings.
Mr. Arqués is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association and the Catalan Institute of Economists. He is also a member of the following boards: the academic council for the Master in Tax, Universitat Pompeu Fabra; the IDEC/Barcelona School of Management studies board; the board of trustees’ forum, Universitat Pompeu Fabra; the advisory council for the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies, Universitat Pompeu Fabra; and the board of directors, IDEC/Barcelona School of Management.
He was co-director of the book Comentarios al Impuesto sobre Sociedades-Tomo I: Régimen General del Impuesto; Tomo II: Regímenes Especiales (Comments on Company Tax-Volume I: General Tax System; Volume II: Special Systems).
