Mr. Roth specializes in business and international litigation and arbitration. He has defended clients in large-scale intercompany commercial disputes; securities fraud, antitrust, RICO, privacy and consumer class actions; and intellectual property cases including trade secret misappropriation and trademark matters. His past prior clients include Berkshire Hathaway, Intel, LinkedIn, Northrop Grumman, PepsiCo, Shell Oil, Occidental Petroleum, Verizon, Applied Materials and Warner Bros.
As a former federal prosecutor, Mr. Roth also specializes in white-collar criminal defense and related matters, such as SEC enforcement actions and internal corporate investigations. He frequently represents executives and businesses, with a special emphasis on FCPA and international matters.
Mr. Roth is an active member of the international litigation bar, representing European, Asian and Latin American clients, as well as U.S. companies, in matters abroad. He is an ICC-trained international arbitration lawyer, fluent in French, Spanish and Italian, and he also works in German and Portuguese.
Mr. Roth is the Immediate Past President of the Paris-based Union Internationale des Avocats, the world’s oldest international lawyers’ association. In that capacity, he has worked with bar leaders around the world on both substantive legal issues and protection of the Rule of Law.
