Career

Hugh is a Partner in Osborne Clarke's banking group.

He has been acting for financial institutions for more than twenty years, and is recognised as one of the leading banking lawyers in the South East. He has advised on a whole range of corporate finance and banking matters, with a particular emphasis on acquisition finance.

Hugh’s clients are banks, public and private companies from the UK and abroad, and private equity funds. Besides his banking and corporate clients, he also regularly acts for the private equity fund Growth Capital, amongst others. He divides his time between our Thames Valley and London offices. Hugh qualified in 1989 and was a partner at a previous firm before he joined Osborne Clarke as a Partner in 1999.
