Henrik Valdorf is a commercial law advocate.
For more than 30 years, he has conducted court and arbitration proceedings, including approx. 50 cases before the Supreme Court. He has in particular advised insurance companies in Denmark and abroad on all types of insurance coverage disputes and liability insurance, including cases on professional indemnity and product liability, professional liability, all risks insurance, construction law as well as transport law issues.
Henrik also advises on insurance law and the law of damages, particularly in cases concerning product liability, professional liability, construction law and coverage issues. In recent years he has conducted numerous substantial cases in the wind turbine sector and cases concerning project liability in the construction sector.
Henrik became a partner in 1986, and for several years he was head of Bech-Bruun's Insurance & Dispute Resolution team.
He acts as arbitrator and mediator and in 2012, he was the first European arbitrator to be registered as an arbitrator in China. In 2015, he was appointed as certified arbitrator by Shang-hai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (“SHIAC”) as well as by the Shen-zhen Court of International Arbitration (”SCIA”).
