Gerardo advises local and international clients on corporate, commercial, mergers and acquisitions, general regulatory compliance and energy projects, with an emphasis on renewable energy. He has more than thirty years of experience guiding local and foreign investors in establishing, resizing, restructuring and selling their operations in Mexico. In particular, he is responsible for ensuring that all legal matters that impact the projects and operations of his clients.
As a result of his years of work in multiple direct investment projects, joint ventures, acquisitions, reorganizations, asset segregation or sales, and company dissolution and liquidation processes, Gerardo has become an expert in the automotive, steel, electrical, electronic sectors and retail sales.
He has extensive knowledge in the energy, electricity and renewable energy sectors and is a member of the firm's Energy industry group, and is a representative of the signature in the Nuevo León Energy Cluster.
Gerardo was Managing Partner of the firm from 2012 to 2014. He is currently President of Fundación Appleseed México, A.C. and is co-leader of the firm's pro bono work efforts.
