Gene serves as counsel to clients engaged in all aspects of the construction industry. He counsels clients on contract terms, project disputes, and claims involving changes in scope, delays, and defects. He is experienced in defending and prosecuting claims on behalf of general contractors, owners, developers, subcontractors, design professionals, and insurers. Aside from his work with clients in the construction industry, Gene also handles litigation matters involving partnership disputes, product liability, and personal injury.
Gene has served as lead counsel on cases in state and federal courts throughout the country, including Texas, California, and Louisiana. He has served as national counsel and managed local counsel in out-of-state jurisdictions for large commercial general contractors and a national solvent company. He has reached favorable results for clients through mediation, arbitration, and formal negotiations.
