Consultant in litigation department. Main area of practice is personal injury (with special interest in head and spinal injuries) and medical negligence (with a special interest in birth cases – see Montgomery v Lanarkshire Health Board  UKSC 11). Also handles general commercial (including defamation and professional negligence) and aviation matters. Has extensive experience in major multi-party actions including claims on behalf of 65 relatives of those who died when an RAF Nimrod crashed in Afghanistan which settled for substantial seven figure sums.
