Fernando de Ovando has more than 40 years of experience in banking and finance regulation and transactions. His practice also encompasses cross-border M&A, joint ventures, strategic alliances, reorganizations and corporate counseling. Fernando advises Mexican and international entities in diverse segments of economic activity on shareholder disputes, public offerings, and capital markets. Fernando has served as secretary or member of the board of directors for several publicly and privately held corporations and has authored numerous articles in legal publications. He is Jones Day’s Mexico City office former Partner-in-Charge and member of the Advisory Committee.
