Fergus is a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department, with a focus on the defence of Professional Indemnity and Insurance claims. Having practised in Litigation for over 30 years, and with a background in Insurance and Employment related cases, Fergus brings a wealth of hands on experience to clients. He has advised in a number of significant actions including Madoff related litigation, banking, insolvency, commercial and claims against Solicitors and other professionals. He advises the firm's clients, indigenous and multinational, public and private sector, in a range of issues both contentious and non-contentious.
He has spoken at various seminars for Insurers. He is a past President of the Southern Law Association, and a past member of the Council of the Law Society of Ireland, the Regulation of Practice Committee of the Law Society and the Clinical Trials Research Ethics Committee of Cork Teaching Hospitals.
