Emerson Holmes specializes in construction and engineering disputes in the infrastructure and oil and gas sectors. As a partner in the International Arbitration practice, Emerson represents clients in a range of infrastructure disputes throughout Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He represents and advises employers, contractors, subcontractors and consultants in construction, engineering and infrastructure project disputes. Project types include power plants, liquefied natural gas facilities, mines, railways, airports, reclamations, floating production storage and offloading facilities, pipelines, petrochemical works and traditional buildings.
Mr. Holmes works with clients that have used one of the major forms of international construction contracts, including FIDIC, ICE, IChemE and NEC, as well as other contract forms popular in Asia and Australia. He also advises on commercial matters arising from infrastructure projects, such as shareholder matters, insolvency, insurance, class actions and procurement.
