Property, chancery and commercial litigation and advisory work. In particular commercial and property disputes, general landlord and tenant (including leasehold enfranchisement) and professional negligence, conveyancing, mortgages, easements, restrictive covenants, trusts, insolvency, and commercial contracts. Cases of interest include, in the House of Lords and Supreme Court, Boss Holdings v Grosvenor (meaning of a house in leasehold enfranchisement), Earl Cadogan v 26 Cadogan Square Ltd (rights of lease extension), Earl Cadogan v Pitts (enfranchisement valuation), and Day v Hosebay (meaning of a house), and in the Court of Appeal, John Thomas v Ken Thomas Ltd (forfeiture in relation to company voluntary arrangement), Shell v Total (recovery of economic loss in negligence and nuisance), Kutchukian v John Lyon (valuation assumptions in a collective enfranchisement); Kim v Chasewood (proprietary estoppel), Grosvenor (Mayfair) Estate v Merix (meaning of a house) and at first instance, Malmesbury v Strutt & Parker (surveyors negligence), Extra MSA v Accor (taking advantage of own wrong in conditional contract) and First Tower Trustees Ltd v CDS (Superstores International) Ltd (non-effectiveness of exclusion clauses in a claim for damages for misrepresentation).

Called to the Bar 1987. Queen's Counsel 2006. Real Estate 'Junior of the Year' (2005) and nominated for 'Silk of the Year' (2012 & 2013) in the Chambers UK Bar Awards. Appointed Deputy Judge of the High Court, sitting in the Chancery Division (2017).
