Career

As Co-Group Leader of Ulmer’s Business Law Practice Group, Doug is highly skilled in corporate, commercial, and finance law. He counsels public and private companies in a wide range of industries on a variety of corporate matters, and has served as general counsel and advisor to many closely held and middle market companies in the manufacturing, distribution, retail, and service industries.

Doug also has significant experience representing financial institutions and borrowers in various types of financing transactions and representing clients in connection with private equity, debt, and other securities offerings. He also assists clients with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. In addition to his demanding practice, he serves on Ulmer’s Management Committee, as Chair of Ulmer’s Committee on Legal Opinions, and is an active member of several bar associations.
