Donald Cameron is a partner with Bereskin & Parr LLP and a member of the Litigation, Patents, Trademarks and Copyright & Digital Media practice groups.

Don’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, particularly relating to patent, trademark, copyright, trade secrets law and technology licences, as well as trademark prosecution. He also advises clients on the intellectual property aspects of technology licensing. He is certified as a Specialist by the Law Society of Ontario (LSO) in Intellectual Property Law (Patents, Trademarks and Copyright) and Civil Litigation.

Don has participated in intellectual property law litigation involving a broad range of technologies and businesses including bio-engineering, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals electromagnetic fields and induction, semiconductor chip fabrication, telecommunications, mechanical devices, and computer databases. He was a senior trial counsel in Canada’s first DNA patent trial and appeal.

Don is the author of numerous intellectual property articles and publications, as well as educational videos in the area of litigation. He is the Editor of the Canadian IP Benchbook, a set of three textbooks on Canadian Patent, Trademark and Copyright law. He also hosts JurisDiction, a monthly IP law podcast at iplawpodcast.com.
