Claire has been regularly ranked over the years as one of the leaders in the field. Claire's experience covers claims ranging from those of maximum severity to those that are less severe, but life changing. Her particular areas of expertise and specialisation are in claims for children and adults who have suffered profound and permanent brain, spinal or neurological injury and associated disability or death as a consequence of failings in medical care in both NHS and private hospitals. Her experience in these types of claims is extensive and it includes claims and inquests arising from obstetric, neo-natal, paediatric, anaesthetic, neurological, spinal, surgical, cardiac and emergency care. Claire’s recent work and success include claims arising from infant cerebral palsy caused by negligent midwifery/obstetric and neonatal care; spinal and neurological injury to adults arising from failures in spinal surgery; severe and life changing maternal injuries following negligent obstetric care; maternal death due to post-partum infection and amputation consequent upon delayed diagnosis and intervention.
