She advises banks, investment firms, payment service providers, insurance companies and a wide range of financial institutions, both domestic and foreign, on all issues related to the legal and regulatory aspects of their activities, including financing, regulated credits, M&A, security packages, etc.
Catherine Houssa is a member of Simont Braun's Digital Finance team. She assists her clients in their FinTech-related projects, such as alternative lending (peer-to-peer lending and crowdfunding), innovative payments, virtual currencies, ICOs, blockchain applications, etc.

Catherine Houssa is a founding and board member of FinTech Belgium and regularly speaks at conferences on digital finance topics.
She is chair of the European Society for Banking and Finance law (AEDBF, 2018-2021 term) and a board member and former chair of AEDBF Belgium. She is also an independent board member of Crelan bank and Alterfin.
