Specialises in healthcare regulation and inquests. Appears regularly for the General Medical Council in fitness to practise proceedings before the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service. Instructed in complex cases involving clinical or personal misconduct and deficient performance. Experienced in delivering training to medical and legal professionals in professional regulation and courtroom skills. Instructed by government departments, care homes, medical staffing agencies and private individuals in the coroner’s court.
Worked in higher education before retraining as a solicitor. Worked for a decade as a solicitor/solicitor-advocate in the fields of crime and medical regulation before being called to the Bar in 2011. Appointed to the Attorney General’s (Regional) Panel of Counsel in 2015, and allocated to the A Panel with effect from 2018.
