Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Paris II (1998) and by IBDP (2007). Member of the JRC (2003-2012). Honorary Chairman of the CFOAB Arbitration Committee (2016). Former attorney general of Justice in Rio de Janeiro and president of the Brazilian Securities Comission – CVM. He has received the Sobral Pinto (OAB) and Barão de Ramalho (IASP) Awards, as well as STM, TJSP and TJRJ Collar of Merit. Recognized among the most admired lawyers by magazines such as Chambers Global, Chambers Latin America, Análise 500, LACCA Approved, Leaders League, Who's Who Legal. Author of several books and articles on arbitration, banking law and capital markets, and of projects that have been turned into law.
