Specialising in property development work for both developers acquiring and landowners selling land, including: option and promotional agreements, contracts conditional upon planning, overage, planning obligations, tenders, forward sales agreements, joint ventures, equalisation, funding arrangements, highway and infrastructure agreements, site assembly and estate development. Financial restructuring including mortgages and debentures, step in rights, assignment of contracts, inter-creditor deeds and deeds of postponement. Building contracts, collateral warranties, letters of reliance. Farm sales and purchases, telecom and renewables leases, deeds of grant. Commercial leases, farm business tenancies and landlord and tenant.


Early career with Geo H Medlicott & Son, Knighton and then Beaumont, Smith & Davies, Leominster initially as assistant solicitor and later partner. Joined Lanyon Bowdler in 1989, partner 1994, later head of commercial property; appointed senior partner in 2015.
