Andrew Latchmore is a Consultant Solicitor in Shulmans' Real Estate team. He has over 35 years of commercial property experience and has a national reputation for his property development practice, particularly in respect of his public sector work.
Examples of his work include acting for City of York Council in procuring a new £32m 150,000 sq. ft. headquarters building to meet the design requirements of the Council following a competitive dialogue competition and acting for Hammerson in the complete re-development of a 1960s open air shopping centre.
Andrew has acted on behalf of both public and private sector organisations, including: Evans Property Group; MEPC; Hammerson; GE Capital; Cummins Limited; Caddick Developments; University of York and City of York Council.
He has also developed a strong practice acting for substantial landowners and developers in bringing forward strategic sites for both commercial and residential development.
Andrew is a major influencer in the property community in the Leeds City Region and is past Chair both of the Leeds Property Forum and the British Council for Offices Northern Chapter. He is Vice Chairman of the Leeds BID (Business Improvement District) and a member of two panels of the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership.
