Andreas is one of the founding partners of P+P Pöllath + Partners. He is head of P+P's funds structuring practice area and has practised in this area since 1986, when private equity activities started in Germany.
He specialises in structuring private investment funds (private equity, alternative assets, real estate) for inbound investments of non-residents and for inbound/outbound investments of resident institutional and individual investors (tax, legal, regulatory).
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the German Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVK e.V., 04/2009-06/2013; 06/201-present), responsible for legal and tax matters affecting the German private equity industry. In such capacity, he prepares all BVK submissions to the German federal finance ministry in connection with the transposition of AIFMD into German domestic law and the corresponding amendments to the Investment Fund Tax Act.
He graduated from Munich Law School (1983; DrJur degree; 1987) and was a partner in a leading German and a major international law firm.

His publications include numerous articles on taxation of investments, speeches and papers for national and international conferences and seminars on private investment funds.
