Mr. Pérez heads the Business Finance & Restructuring Department's Houston office, concentrating his practice in representation of chapter 11 debtors and other diverse claimants, including secured and unsecured creditors in all aspects of corporate restructurings. He has represented acquirers of assets from bankruptcy estates and companies in financial distress. He has played a significant role in many major bankruptcies including the M&G, Tidewater, City of Detroit, American Airlines, Lehman, and WorldCom. He is a native Spanish speaker with extensive experience in cross-border and transnational insolvency matters.
