Mr. Pérez heads the Business Finance & Restructuring Department's Houston office, concentrating his practice in representation of companies in distress in both in-court and out-of-court restructurings and other diverse claimants in all aspects of corporate restructurings. He has represented acquirers of assets from bankruptcy estates and companies in financial distress. He has played a significant role in many major bankruptcies including EP Energy, M&G, Tidewater, City of Detroit, American Airlines, Lehman, and WorldCom. He is a native Spanish speaker with extensive experience in cross-border and transnational insolvency matters.
