Alan is a Consultant in our projects practice and for many years lead the firm’s environment and energy group, with a focus on advising clients in the renewable energy sector.
He has more than thirty years’ experience working for clients across the renewables technologies, including wind, solar, biomass, water, landfill gas, energy from waste and anaerobic digestion and is embedded in the industry.
Holistic advice on climate change, sustainability, decarbonisation and low-carbon business is at the heart of his practice. He has particular specialisms in energy regulation, electricity management, storage and efficiency, power and heat purchase agreements and private wire, reserve power and ancillary services arrangements.
Alan works for a wide range of clients across the environment and energy sector, ranging from large established businesses to younger, entrepreneurial companies. He prides himself on speaking the same language as his clients, thanks to his deep enthusiasm for the sector and he enjoys a network of relationships across the industry that keeps him at the cutting edge of market developments.
