Adam advises on competition and foreign investment review law, including mergers, criminal and cartel investigations, abuse of dominance and misleading advertising cases. He is lead counsel on some of Canada’s most significant competition cases. Adam represents parties in class actions and other litigated proceedings before the Competition Tribunal and at all levels of court in Canada. He was Senior Deputy Commissioner of Competition and head of the Mergers Branch at the Canadian Competition Bureau. Previously, he was Special Counsel to Canada’s Commissioner of Competition responsible for the design and implementation of major reforms to the Competition Act.
