Firm Overview:
The firm began in 1993 as Shapray Cramer LLP, when Howard Shapray, QC, for many years the head of the litigation department of one of Vancouver’s leading international law firms, and Brad Cramer, who also enjoyed a distinguished career in the same firm, established their innovative and focused litigation boutique. Seasoned litigators Francis Lamer and Stephen Fitterman joined in 1997 and 1999. In 2010, Abbas Sabur was hired away from one of Canada’s leading multidisciplinary firms. All the lawyers are recognised by their peers and industry as leading advocates at the bar.

While the majority of the firm's work is limited to Canada, the firm also collaborates with international counsel, particularly in the US, in respect of security and regulatory matters involving or affecting Canadians.

Administrative & Public Law:
The firm has substantial experience with judicial reviews and appeals. The firm also has significant experience challenging legislation at all government levels, including Charter claims. The firm acts before various administrative tribunals including the Environmental Appeal Board, the Real Estate Council of B.C and other professional regulatory bodies. The government of B.C. has engaged the firm from time to time in respect of prominent and complex briefs.
