Act as designated counsel for Royal Bank of Canada on multiple and various complex special loans recovery matters.

Real Estate: 10 partners; 22 fee earners based in Toronto
Acted for H&R REIT in the $640 million sale of Atrium in Toronto, including a vendor take-back (VTB) mortgage of $256 million. Led the purchase of a Brampton/Mississauga industrial portfolio from Manulife Financial Group. Negotiated a ground lease of land on behalf of a hospital to a developer for the construction of a planned 60,000 sq. ft. medical building and a lease back to the hospital of approximately 30,000 sq. ft.
