Bank of America Merrill Lynch
Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Mr. Lin was a Managing Director at UBS responsible for the General Industrials Group.
Before joining UBS, Hans was a Senior Vice President at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he worked in the Latin American Investment Banking, Emerging Markets Capital Markets and Corporate Finance departments. His latest responsibilities included the coverage of the metals & mining clients. Hans also worked for JPMorgan in its Latin American Merger & Acquisitions Department.
Hans Lin joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch, in 2008 as the Managing Director responsible for Industrials, and since then he provided capital markets and strategic advisory in transactions totaling over $250BN.
Adriano earnead a BA in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica – São Paulo and an MBA in Corporate Finance from Instituto Brasileiro de mercado de Capitais (IBMEC). He currently works in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs focused on structured finance. Prior to Joining Goldman Sachs Adriano worked in the Markets Division of Citi in different roles, including derivatives sales, structuring and credit trading, and prior to that as legal counsel for Santander and Pinheiro Neto Advogados.
Donald E. Baker
White & Case
Don Baker practices a broad range of cross-border finance and merger and acquisition transactions in Brazil and across Latin America. He advises issuers and underwriters on the U.S.-law aspects of securities offerings, including IPOs and bond offerings, as well as other financings. Don is also active representing parties in M&A and joint ventures transactions, working with clients from a broad range of sectors. Don relocated to São Paulo in 1997 to inaugurate the Firm's office.
Paloma earned her LL.B. from USP and her LL.M. in Corporate Governance and Practice from Stanford University. She is experienced in regulatory and contractual advisory to large-scale infrastructure projects in several sectors including energy, oil and gas, shipyards and transports (subway, railways, highways, ports and airports).
Paloma has extensive experience with financial institutions, multilateral organizations, investors and large companies working mainly in project finance and structured operations. She is also a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría
PPU Partner expert in infrastructure projects and public law. Admitted to practice law in Brazil and Peru. Mariana provides advice to private companies of different nationalities in infrastructure projects in general, both through Public-Private Partnerships and Public Works. Her experience includes all the stages of a project, as well as infrastructure M&A transactions.
Paulo graduated from Universidade de São Paulo Law School in 1993 and earned an LL.M. in Corporation Law from New York University School of Law in 1997. He then worked for two years as a Foreign Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, in New York. He is an Officer of the International Bar Association, Chair Emeritus of Lex Mundi and a member of the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce and of the Advisory Board of "Working Group on Legal Opinions" of the American Bar Association. An expert in M&A, Corporate Law and Corporate Governance, Paulo authored many articles on the subjects and co-authored the book "Business Laws of Brazil" (WestThompson, 2015, 4th edition), and has been nominated for many years a "leading lawyer in his field" by directories such as IFLR, Chambers, Legal 500, Who's Who Legal, LACCA, Leaders League, Latin Lawyer 250 and the Brazilian Análise Advocacia 500.
