Raphael de Cunto
Raphael de Cunto has been a partner in the Corporate Group of Pinheiro Neto Advogados since 1995 and has a diverse practice advising clients on M&A and financing transactions with focus in technology, media and communication companies. Raphael is responsible for the firm’s Palo Alto office He holds a JD from the São Paulo University School of Law and a master’s in Comparative Jurisprudence (MCJ) degree from New York University. He is also a former president of the Brazilian Computer and Telecommunications Law Association – ABDI (2005-2007) and editor of the Computer and Telecommunications Law Review.
Counseling on litigation matters involving intellectual property rights or civil liability for torts, ISP's liability, advertisement and entertainment Law, criminal practice involving intellectual property crimes, intellectual property-related agreements comprising technology transfer, software licensing, copyrights and related rights.
José Mauro Decoussau Machado
José Mauro Decoussau Machado is partner in the Intellectual Property (IP) department of Pinheiro Neto Advogados. He focuses on litigation and transactional work related to technology, privacy, trademark, patent, industrial design, copyright and unfair competition, as well as advertising. He earned his LL.M in Law, Science and Technology from Stanford Law School (2009) and holds a Master's degree (2004) in Civil Procedure and a LL.B. degree (1999) from PUC/SP (Brazil). José Mauro is also author of the book “Preliminary injunctions in Intellectual Property cases” and is a Professor in the LL.M. course provided by the Brazilian Bar Association (Escola Superior de Advogados – ESA).
Larissa Galimberti is partner in the Technology team of Pinheiro Neto Advogados with focus on tech transactions and licensing, data protection, ecommerce, software, data analytics, big data and Internet of Things (IoT). Wide experience in Intellectual Property, Media and entertainment, Advertising and IT. She holds an L.L.M (Master of Laws) degree in Law, Science and Technology from Stanford University (2013/2014); a Master of Commercial Law degree (final thesis in patents) from Universidade de São Paulo – USP (2013); and a Bachelor's degree in Law (JD equivalent) also from Universidade de São Paulo – USP (2005). She worked as a foreign associate at Fenwick & West (CA, US) (2014/2015).
Marcel Leonardi earned his LLB, LLM and SJD degrees from the São Paulo University (USP) and a post-doctoral degree from Berkeley Law, and has recently completed a professional cycle at Google, where he had an opportunity to cooperate intensely with the drafting of the Civil Rights Framework for the Internet and the General Data Protection Act over the last years. He has also played a key role in public policy developments spanning the whole gamut of the technology and IT industry. An expert in data protection matters and law professor at FGVLaw since 2005, Marcel has joined Pinheiro Neto Advogados as counsel.
