Eva Argilés
General Counsel
Applus+

Eva is General Counsel at Applus Services, a listed Company she joined in 2013. Since then and following a dual track process prior to the listing, she advises the Board of Directors, CEO and Executive Committee of the group, where she has a seat. She is Head of Legal for the Applus+ group with presence in more than 70 countries and with a team of in-house counsels based in 9 countries. She leads the corporate governance, organising its AGMs and engagement campaigns with institutional investors and proxy advisors, giving impulse to corporate policies and attending to Board and Committees' meetings. She is secretary and representative of directors at Board level of several affiliates and joint ventures. She also designed the Compliance function and system at Applus+ in support to the CSR Committee. Prior to joining Applus+, Eva was Legal Director, Commercial at Puig, with responsibilities on corporate, M&A, contracts and litigation both for the perfume and fashion businesses of the family owned group. She initially started her career at Cuatrecasas, Brussels and Barcelona offices, in EU and antitrust law and then restructuring and M&A. Eva is also a member of the Board of ACC Europe, the global Association of Corporate Counsel.

Oscar García Maceiras

Oscar García Maceiras currently serves as Deputy Secretary of the Board of Directors and Group General Counsel at Banco Santander. He previously served as Executive Vice-president of Corporate Development and Legal Affairs at SAREB, Deputy Secretary of the Board of Directors and Director of Institutional Legal Affairs at Banco Popular and General Secretary of the Board at Banco Pastor. He began his career in government, as State attorney in A Coruña, where, among other duties, he was part of the legal team in charge of managing the claim related to the Prestige oil tanker. He holds a degree in law (summa cum laude) from the University of A Coruña, and he has pursued postgraduate studies at IESE Business School, The Valley Digital Business School and Singularity University.

Pablo Martin

Pablo Martin-Pliego has over 14 years of experience in the renewable power industry. He is responsible for the Legal Corporate department at FRV and he is also involved in the development, construction, operation and financing of renewable energy projects in UE, LATAM and MEA. Prior to joining FRV, Pablo worked a few years as an attorney for Iberdrola Renewable Energy in 2005. He also had previous roles in the Litigations department at Terra Networks S.A a subsidiary of Telefonica. Pablo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a MBA from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Isabela Perez Nivela

Isabela Perez Nivela is currently Vice President of Coca Cola European Partners Iberia, responsible for legal advice, risk and regulatory compliance and secretary-counselor of the entity. She also carries out pan-European responsibilities in advising on commercial strategy and M&A, leading an international team of lawyers. Futhermore, she holds the position of President of the Board of Directors of Andbank Wealth Management since 2018. Isabela is a State Attorney and during 13 years of public practice she has held various positions in the administration and on the Boards of Directors of Public Companies, From 2010 to 2013, she was Lawyer of the Chief of State of Catalonia. She is a professor of tax law at Esade. Isabela is from Zaragoza and is married and has three daughters.


Xavier Pujol

Xavier Pujol is the General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Prisa since July 2017. As the group’s General Counsel and Secretary of the Board, Xavier Pujol heads the Legal Inhouse Team and the Compliance Unit, plus the following departments: Tax, Human Resources and Talent Management, Corporate Services and Security. Xavier Pujol holds a B.A. and a Masters in Law from ESADE, was a visiting student at the Faculty of Law at the University of Minnesota and completed the Program for Leadership Development (PLD) at IESE. He began his career at Cuatrecasas, and served as secondee in the London office of Herbert Smith. Later, in January 2007, he joined Latham & Watkins when it opened its office in Spain, working sometime at the London office. In January 2013 he was appointed counsel at Latham & Watkins and in September of the same year he joined PRISA as Chief Legal Officer of PRISA Radio and PRISA Noticias. In October 2014 he was appointed deputy secretary of the Board of Directors of PRISA, while continuing to act as board secretary of both PRISA Radio and PRISA Noticias as well as general counsel in the press and radio business units. In July 2017 he was appointed General Counsel and Board Secretary of PRISA.
