Overview

Our highly regarded practice covers a wide range of issues in public business law including public contracts (public procurement, concessions and PPPs), regulatory expertise, litigation and foreign investor regimes. The team variously assists sponsors, public entities and lenders on high-profile matters. Our advice is not restricted to purely regulatory or contractual issues but extends to competition rules which often overlap, especially the rules on State aid, abuse of a dominant position and on mergers. We assist clients in proceedings before the relevant authorities and/or before the courts. Our partners also have complementary expertise in real estate/public domain law and project contracts.

The team is active in regulated industries in which our firm has strong sector expertise, such as energy (including renewable energy and energy infrastructure), infrastructure, water/waste/sewage, transport (including maritime, aviation, rail, and roads), networks communications and defence.

We have worked with government agencies, international organisations, industrial groups and banks on matters ranging from renewable energy and infrastructure schemes to telecommunications and pharmaceutical projects.
