Vedder Price’s Government Investigations & White Collar Defense group has a long history representing companies, boards of directors, board committees, executives and other individuals in government and regulatory investigations, internal investigations, white collar criminal investigations and related litigation, including trials. Our experienced team includes former attorneys at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, former prosecutors with the U.S. Department of Justice and former senior staff with self-regulatory organizations and financial services companies.
We bring skill and experience to representing our clients facing allegations involving securities violations, financial fraud, health care fraud, and violations of the False Claims Act and FCPA, among other white collar offenses. We understand the high financial and reputational stakes involved in these matters. Drawing on our experience, we are able to develop effective defense strategies and work credibly with the government, often resolving concerns before the commencement of an enforcement action or prosecution. However, when the situation demands, we vigorously defend our clients in government actions, drawing on the deep and diverse resources of the firm to effectively represent our clients.
We are also frequently retained by clients to conduct sensitive internal investigations into allegations raised by government agencies or whistleblowers and to develop and implement internal compliance programs.
