What the team is known for Van Doorne was one of the first Dutch law firms to have a dedicated FinTech team, operating since 2012. The firm remains a founding member of Holland FinTech, the industry association. It is able to offer clients an interdisciplinary service across multiple practice areas, but has garnered significant market appraisal specifically for its excellence in its financial regulatory, IT contracting and alternative finance mandates. The firm also has a representative office in London.

Strengths"Van Doorne supported us in this complicated topic and we were very glad for their work. It was a matter on Dutch law and we needed their help as we had no expertise in this sector. They had to co-ordinate with us internationally and it was very well done."

"They have a unique FinTech proposition that covers all of the relevant legal areas with a strong focus on technology."

Work highlights Assisting a Parisian travel platform startup, Leavy, with its entry into the Dutch market, as well as advising on ongoing financial regulatory issues concerning Leavy coins, the platform's virtual currency.
