Overview

This unique department specialises in only the most serious cases of catastrophic injury. We are renowned for our expertise in complex brain & spinal injury cases, as well as amputation injuries, serious orthopaedic & criminal injuries. 

Between August 2020 - 2021, our Personal Injury department alone secured damages for 29 cases totaling over £75m; an average settlement of around £2.6m.

In 2020, Gary Herbert secured £10m for a child who sustained a severe brain injury when hit by two vehicles whilst crossing a pedestrian crossing, which allowed for mostly 24/7 care for the remainder of our client’s life. Gary also secured £9.5m for a client who sustained a brain injury as a passenger in a vehicle involved in a road traffic collision, leaving them with a very severe memory impairment. 

Alison Hartley acted for a young man who was hit by a car at age 11 while running across a road, leaving him with a severe traumatic brain injury. The case settled for £6.3m

James Gratton joined the firm in August 2020 and specialises in catastrophic injury, including brain injury and amputation claims. He acted for the first UK claimant to have a simultaneous elective lower limb amputation and osseointegration, securing damages of £8.5m.
