The Family Team has extensive experience in handling a wide range of family law matters. They can provide specialist advice related to separation and divorce, children matters, finance and pensions, domestic abuse, and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. They focus on understanding clients’ needs and priorities, developing a strong rapport with them and becoming their trusted advisor for legal and non-legal matters.

The team's recent work includes:

●    Matrimonial finance disputes including high value matters, farming cases and business disputes – department co-works closely with firm’s private client and commercial teams, and external advisers where required, to provide necessary expertise and service to clients.

●    Private law children cases including complex areas such as parental alienation, addiction, social services involvement, international and internal relocation, and third party applications.

●    Domestic abuse including coercive control.

●    Trusts of land and cohabitee disputes including third party claims.

●    Nuptial agreements (both pre- and post-) and cohabitation contracts.

●    Pensions on divorce including the splitting on complex military pensions.

The team also operate within the firm's sectors and provide specific and tailored advice to those within the armed forces, individuals who own work or operate within the agriculture sphere and have a dedicated focus on supporting clients whose work falls in the land and development field.
