Overview
Gleiss Lutz advises extensively on project development plans. We handle all related development and implementation issues, from corporate, finance and civil law compliant structuring of projects to advising on public law permits and to drafting contracts for work and services with general planners, project managers, architects, and engineers, as well as contracts with construction companies (EPC, EPCM and project management contracts). We also have substantial experience in industrial plant construction, especially in connection with large-scale power plant projects.
Project finance
Gleiss Lutz guides and advises clients through all stages of the project finance transaction, from drafting and negotiating the relevant project contracts and concession agreements to drafting the financial documentation. The project finance team advises on the various types of project financings, such as loan financing, as well as the related capital market instruments.
Construction disputes
Disputes arising from construction projects, especially plant and industrial construction projects, form an important part of our practice. We focus on strategic claims management, the enforcement of or defence against claims in long-term plant construction projects, as well as in building projects, both domestically and cross-border and under various codes or standards for construction contracts (including FIDIC).
