Some of the earliest clients of the firm were oil and gas companies, acting in the up-stream industry of Bolivia. On that base and for more than 25 years, DGG has developed one of the most sophisticated legal practices in Bolivia, to advise the largest foreign foreign companies in their activities in the country, in the fields of Energy and Natural Resources.

The department is best known for its expertise in negotiating with State owned entities on behalf of private investor. As a value added service, the department provides clients not only with legal but also with political insight and assists them in developing integral strategies.

Bolivia´s energy legislation has been subject to material and substantial changes in the last 15 years. Having advised clients during said changes and having been involved in the structuring of said changes, gives this department of DGG a unique perspective on the details of doing business in the Bolivian energy sector.
