Overview

Our team is best known for handling the most complex of mental health cases for high profile clients as well as delivering innovative solutions to help providers face challenges to their practice and regulatory scrutiny.

The work we do means that, on a daily basis, we advise clients on their obligations relating to admission, treatment, discharge and risk management relying on the Mental Health Act, Code of Practice and Reference Guide, and also to developing case law and policy.
We regularly advise Boards, clinical leads, consultants, legal services teams and Mental Health Act administration teams on technical aspects of mental health legislation and governance. We advise on mental health legislation when it applies in a pure sense to a question of patient care, and when it relates to resourcing and policy decisions such as smoking cessation, service reconfiguration including section 136 suite availability, police and HSE investigations, or CQC regulation.
