LHAG Partner Leads Malaysia Chapter of Energy Related Arbitration Practitioners (ENERAP)
Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill partner, Crystal Wong Wai Chin, who is with the Energy, Infrastructure & Projects and International Arbitration Practice, has been appointed as the founder of the Malaysia Chapter of Energy Related Arbitration Practitioners, a worldwide forum that aims to promote the development of arbitration through the study of the characteristics, complexities and challenges involved in commercial and investment arbitration proceedings related to the energy sector.
Crystal has advised and represented several independent power producers in arbitrations involving various aspects of power and energy, including energy payments, generation capacity payments, adjustments to Fixed Operating Rates and Variable Operating Rates, operations and maintenance, construction and design defects, delay, and transmission-related issues. Her experience includes an extended stint with a leading international utilities conglomerate. Crystal has great passion for climate change and energy, and has contributed to numerous publications on arbitration and energy, both locally and domestically.
